What Can You Try?

COACHING PROMPT OF THE WEEK
“What Can You Try?”
This is a powerful and practical question used to move team members from insights to action. It's a key element in helping them overcome inertia, experiment with new approaches, and ultimately achieve their goals. It can help them get ‘unstuck’ and break through the paralysis of indecision. Here are a few probing questions to consider:
"What's the first step you could take?"
"When could you try this?"
"What resources would you need?"
Remember that coaching isn’t telling! Coaching is about staying curious and making space for those in our care to become confident authors of their own stories.
FROM THE VAULT
Levity and Play!
Let's face it, in our quests to climb the corporate ladder and provide for our families, we can sometimes take ourselves way too seriously! As a young leader, I know I did.
When that important deadline is looming or a big project implementation is right around the corner, it can be easy to forget how important it is to make time and space for levity in our days.
Play and levity are key in creating a sense of team camaraderie and in helping to manage stress. All while enhancing productivity and improving performance!

“Where you find no love, put love, and you will find love.”
– John of the Cross
Love isn’t just a feeling – it’s a choice. Where you find a scarcity of love in today’s conflicted world, consider offering it up freely yourself and you might just be rewarded with kindness and compassion.
