Who Can You Ask for Support?

COACHING PROMPT OF THE WEEK
"Who Can You Ask for Support?"
This is a powerful question that encourages your team members to identify and leverage their support network. It's a simple but crucial step in personal and professional development, as it recognizes that we don't have to do everything alone. This can be especially potent for your hard charging, high performing team members, as they begin to understand the importance of delegation and getting work done through others. Here are a few additional questions you might ask:
How comfortable, on a scale of 1-10, are you with asking for help?
What past experiences have shaped your beliefs about asking for help?
What small step can you take today to reach out to someone for support?
Remember that coaching isn’t telling! Coaching is about staying curious and making space for those in our care to become confident authors of their own stories.

All Models are Wrong!
I’d guess the majority of us have taken a personality test before. DiSC, Myers-Briggs, Strengths Finder, Enneagram - the list goes on. You might have even found the results insightful. But here’s the thing: while these models can be useful, they’re also wrong… or at least they’re incomplete.
Labels like ‘outgoing’ or ‘analyst’ might describe part of who you are, but they shouldn’t define you or limit how you engage with the world. The real power of these models? Using them as tools for awareness, not rigid categories to get stuck in.
What’s a label you’ve identified with in the past—and have you ever challenged it?

"Forget yesterday. It has already forgotten you. Don’t sweat tomorrow. You haven’t even met yet. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift – today." – Steve Maraboli
Maraboli's quote is a powerful reminder to embrace the present moment, let go of the past and future, and appreciate the gift of today. It's a call to mindfulness, presence, and gratitude for the here and now.
In the hustle and grind of life, it's all-too-easy to get caught up in what’s next or what’s behind us. But the real magic happens when we slow down, breathe, and truly experience this moment.
What can you do differently today to harness the power of ‘now’?
